House of flying daggers

The scenery throughout the movie is so breathtaking - you almost want to go to China just to experience it.. Ziyi Zhang is lovely to watch as always. We only discover the love triangle later in the movie, so it is bearable.

Leo's intensity made me uncomfortable but the film climaxed very well. Mei shows that she loves Jin by threatening to kill herself as well as Leo if he attacks Jin. However, when she throws the dagger at Leo deliberately missing him, Leo is brought crashing down to the realisation that Mei also has enough love for him to not want to kill him for Jin. The actors did a great job portraying the love and the anguish.

The only sticking point is the blooper at the end where Mei has been stabbed and her mouth is full of blood, and later when she is speaking to Leo, her mouth is clean.. There are other bloopers but they can be ignored. This one is very conspicuous as we are looking at her face.

Still, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie despite the bloopers.
